Swing: A Revolutionary 65 inch UHD TV by Vestel ID Team

Blending Technology and Furniture into a Timeless, Iconic Design

The Swing TV is a timeless design that suits every home environment, yet keeps its unique characteristic appearance. The main purpose of this TV concept is to bring a furniture taste in home environments. Integration of a shelf gives users an opportunity to place other TV accessories (Sound bar, TV box.) easily without bothering its surroundings. Thanks to the stand’s design solution, it can be packaged and shipped in larger amounts.

The TV itself is produced as a metal front cover and plastic back cover. The stand of the TV is constructed from aluminium extrusion profiles (powder coated). A tempered glass sheet is used as a shelf. The dimensions are 1561 x 505 x 1438 mm for the set, 1620 x 165 x 1006 mm for the TV box, and 1510 x 510 x 90 mm for the stand box.

The project started in May 2015 in Manisa, Turkey and was completed in January 2016. The team behind this innovative design includes Cemal Çağlar Bektaş, Mehmet Kaya, and Burak Emre Altınordu. The hardest part of this project was to develop a sleek design solution by using local production facilities and keeping it low priced in order to create a marketable design.

The Swing TV was awarded the Golden A' Digital and Electronic Device Design Award in 2016.
